Whitney Young,

LPC, NCC

Whitney Young, LPC, NCC is a Licensed Professional Counselor, who has been in the field for the past 6 years. Her calm, empathetic, and attentive nature is inviting to many. While sitting across from Whitney, clients experience the safety and freedom to be vulnerable, paving the way for them to grow. Whitney's therapeutic experience has included helping those facing difficult life transitions, strained relationships, anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma. Whitney has worked in agency settings, as well as private practice. She primarily works with adult men and women, but also has experience with adolescents and teens. Whiteny has most recently helped women experiencing depression, anxiety, and grief/loss in the perinatal period. Her goal is to help women feel seen, validated, and supported amid the unique hurdles they face as caregivers and mothers. 

 

One of Whitney's greatest joys as a helper is witnessing her clients leave the counseling room more empowered and capable to make the desired changes in their lives. Whitney is a newlywed and enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs. Originally from Baton Rouge, LA, she is embracing the quieter and slower pace of life that is found outside of the city.

Alicia Ryder Reed, LPC,  has over 18 years of experience as a certified educator and a Professional School Counselor.  She truly understands how pain affects people of all ages and has worked extensively in her years in the public school system with families. She helps clients see their strengths and address what might have led to shame, guilt, or depression. 

 

Alicia's personable counseling style helps her to connect with others and to put them at ease. She is an effective communicator who hears people beyond their words.  She has experience working with people from all walks of life. Alicia has worked with various issues including self-esteem, families of addicts, trauma, troubled relationships/ divorce, depression, teen pregnancy, self-harm, grief, and academic difficulties. 

 

She has been married to Robert for over 15 years and they have one child.

Deborah Youngblood, LCSW, has a colorful background of experiences.  She has worked in various settings including schools, a crisis pregnancy center, community non-profit agencies, and the state mental health system.  She also has over 40 years of service in pastoral ministry.  She is passionate about helping those children and adolescents, couples, and families in our community who have lost hope and feel trapped to move forward toward a new life.

 

With her client-centered, non-judgmental style, she is able to guide clients from their circumstances into finding a place of peace, healing, and restoration.  She assists clients with the skills needed to meet challenges and become the person they desire to be, reaching goals they never expected to reach.  Deborah works with clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and relationship issues.

 

Deborah was married to Pastor Larry Youngblood for 42 years until he passed in 2016. She has 5 adult children, 12 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

Andrea Marceaux, MA, currently manages marketing and media at Harmony House Counseling. She also develops and facilitates our group therapies and seminars. We look forward to her soon joining our clinical team.

She is a recent graduate of Northwestern University in clinical mental health counseling. She has ten years of experience as an educator in the public school system.

 

Her caring and patient demeanor helps her to deeply connect with her clients. She is passionate about helping adolescents, adults, and families heal from difficult experiences and grow as individuals in ways that improve their overall mental health and well-being. Andrea sees the importance of healthy, secure relationships and values helping others to communicate more effectively and create healthy relationship patterns that ensure safe and peaceful attachments over time. Her accepting and non-judgmental personality helps clients to heal from a depleted self-worth, depression, anxiety, dysfunctional relationships or even addiction and can assist in problematic behaviors that arise when pain is present. The safe space that Andrea creates with clients offers opportunity for growth and change for individuals struggling with a variety of mental health concerns and deepens their faith and hope as they transition into a more authentic, peaceful path in life.

 

Andrea enjoys spending time with her two beautiful daughters and family, as she values her role as mother.

Jennifer A. Glasscock, LCSW

Owner

Jennifer A. Glasscock is the owner of Harmony House Counseling & Life Coaching, LLC. Her professional experience includes being a contractual clinician providing adolescent, adult, and marriage/couples counseling, offering medical social work in a hospital setting, establishing and facilitating a cancer survivor support group, directing a rape crisis program, and conducting child/adolescent and family counseling in the state mental health system. She has also been in ministry leadership for the past twelve years.

She is passionate about assisting clients in their transformation from emotional upheaval to soundness of mind. Her style is client-centered, interactive, compassionate,  nonjudgmental, and solution-focused. It is her goal to create a secure, safe, and genuine environment where clients can experience the acceptance and honesty necessary for healthy growth.

She has also co-owned a property management and maintenance business with her husband for over 25 years. She and her husband, Douglas, have been married for over 30 years and have two adult children.

 

Kimberly is our Insurance and Finance Director and your go-to for all questions related to your insurance and account with Harmony House. She has over 10 years of extensive experience as a receptionist and administrative assistant. Kimberly adds organization to our team with clear communication, excelling in efficiently verifying insurance benefits and managing our accounts.

She and her husband, Brock, enjoy spending time with their 3 handsome boys.

Dana Brazile-Blandin, 

Receptionist

Dana is our Receptionist and Scheduler whose pleasant voice you'll hear over the phone and the first kind face you'll see as she welcomes you for your appointment.

She has over 30 years of extensive experience as a receptionist, scheduling 

appointments, conducting caller intakes, and office management.  Dana brings organization to our front office with clear communication while excelling in effectively answering all questions about the counseling process.

She and her husband, Jefferey, have their own business and enjoy spending time together with their 4 adult children and 7 grandchildren, one of whom is an active 3 year old they are raising.
